Amanda Warren: Director, Choreographer

Amanda Warren

An award-winning actress and choreographer, Amanda recieved her BFA in Theater from California Institute of The Arts after studying at Toi Whakkarri New Zealand's National School of Drama and Dance.

After graduating Amanda moved to Mount Dora to join her husband Joel at the Icehouse Theatre, where she reformed The Young Actor's Theater to much success. After seeing all the opportunities a fulltime children's theater could have in Mount Dora, she decided to resign from the Icehouse and create the Warren Acting Company.

Joel Warren: Director

Joel Warren

Originally from sunny Orlando Joel, grew up doing professional theater throughout the area before leaving to attend California Institute of the Arts.

While working on his BFA in Theater, Joel attended the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Dramatic Arts in Scotland before returning to his hometown to become the associate director of the Icehouse Theatre.

Within a year Joel had been promoted to artistic director and after one season and over 30 shows under his belt, Joel decided to step down from his position in order to form his own theater group, The Warren Acting Company.

Chasteen Mullins: Teacher

Chasteen Mullins

Chasteen Mullins has been active in theater for 15 years, both behind the scenes and on stage. She has been involved in all aspects of children's theater, from performing for children at Lake Sumter Community College and L&M productions, to teaching children as intern director at Bay Street Players' Young People's Theare in Eustis. She has been assisting Amanda Warren for the past three years, first at Icehouse Theatre, then with the Warren Acting Company, where she teaches the 4 to 6 year olds -- and sometimes even helps on-stage (that's Chasteen in the photo during our recent production of "The Wizard of Oz.") Chasteen lives in Mount Dora with her husband, Scott.
